She Loves Golf - Spring Series: opening day

Beginners, those returning to golf or needing a refresher... all women welcome!

She Loves Golf is about creating enjoyable and social experiences for women of all ages to inspire a love for golf.

At Port Chalmers Golf Club, you can start or pick up your golf journey in a fun and relaxed way with our 8 week She Loves Golf Spring Series. We offer small group golf lessons for 5 out of the 8 weeks (limit of 6 people per lesson) with Dunedin’s highly regarded PGA Golf Professional, Shelley Duncan (bio below). Out on the course, you can play as many holes as you like and you don’t even have to keep score! Afterwards, we’ll get together in the clubhouse for drinks, free savouries and a weekly prize draw.

This 8 week series, supported by Port Otago, runs at Port Chalmers Golf Club on Monday evenings from 5.30pm, starting 13 October and ending 8 December 2025. Come as many times as you can during the series and pay only for those evenings you attend.

All equipment can be provided, or bring your own.

Shelley Duncan - PGA Professional

Shelley began playing golf at about 10 years of age and has had an amazing career in golf. She has represented Otago and New Zealand and has also played golf professionally in the United States, including in the Women’s US Open. Shelley has been the Otago Golf Club Champion multiple times and has also coached the New Zealand development and travelling teams.

Shelley has been at the Otago Golf Club for the last twenty years as their resident PGA Golf Professional, was then promoted to Director of Golf and finally became the Club’s General Manager.

In 2025, Shelley made the decision to return to golf coaching full-time, so we hope you will take up the opportunity to participate in one or more lessons with Shelley as part of our She Loves Golf Spring Series.
