The first hole is a dogleg left and the tee shot from the White and Yellow tees should be hit over the white marker pole. The green is reachable for long hitters but beware of the trees on either side of the fairway.

An uphill par 5 which starts with a demanding tee shot to a wide fairway but beware of the penalty area on the right hand side. The shot to the green always plays longer than it looks.

A straightforward par 3 but anything left is in the penalty area and right or long is out of bounds.

A downhill slight dogleg right par 4 which requires an accurate tee shot to avoid the trees and ditches to the left and right of the fairway at the bottom of the hill. A tricky shot to the green to avoid the trees on the right and the drop off on the left

The tee shot should favour the left side of the fairway for the best approach to the green. A testing shot to the green as anything short will land in the dip and long could find the out of bounds.

The tee shot must take account of a sloping fairway from right to left. A skillful shot is required with the ball above your feet to reach the perched green in regulation.

Before you hit the inviting downhill tee shot, spend a moment on the memorial seat to take in the spectacular views over the Otago Harbour and Peninsula. Watch out for the Creek on the left which can catch wayward tee and approach shots and out of bounds which lurks not far from the green.

An accurate tee shot is required to reach the green of this demanding hole which is guarded by a deep bunker, willow tree and creek. Danger lurks all around so a par is a good score. A tip: one club more than you think.

The hole looks straightforward but Gum trees on the left, the creek and out of bounds on the right will punish wayward tee shots. The sloping green makes for challenging putting if the ball lands above the pin.
